Colonel Zack Mulhall of Mulhall, O. T., live stock agent for the Frisco railroad, said yesterday afternoon at the Hotel Baltimore
that he regarded cattle prospects at this time as most flattering throughout the Sout-west, says the Kansas City Journal.
"Oklahoma," he declared, "is going to produce a bigger corn crop this fall than ever before. The season has been good,
all conditions have been practically perfect, and why not? Cattle are in good shape, pastures are excellent, and stock
will enter the winter in proper condition. The fact that there is going to be lots of corn in Oklahoma means, of course, that there
wiull be a great many cattle fed throughout that country during the winter months.
"all the country tributary to Kansas City is going to have good crops, so far as present prospects go. There was a section
around Wichita, Kan., which needed rain a little, but I suppose by this time they have got theirs, and in that case their corn is
assured."
The colonel's cowboy band and his daughter, Lucille, will be among the principle attractions at the Inter-State and Territorial
Exposition at Coffeyville, Kan., September 8, 9 and 10.
