Arrest of Junius Brutus Booth.
Philadelphia. Wednesday, April 26.
Junius Brutus Booth was arrested in this city at eight o'clock this morning, and taken to
Washington, where he is now confined in the Old Capitol Prison.
It is understood that his arrest was caused on suspicion of his knowledge of the intention of his
brother to assassinate President Lincoln, based upon his letter to Wilkes, published in
yesterday morning's papers, regarding Richmond and oil.
