"The Ouray Mail Carrier is Much Better
Special to The News.
OURAY, Colo., Feb. 23 - Mail Carrier J. E. Bell, who was buried in the great Snow Bird avalanche Saturday and who dug his way out
twenty-four hours afterward, is on the road to recovery.
He is an old time mail carrier, having seen service in Nebraska previous to coming to Ouray.
He is 32 years of age.
He is visited by a large number of friends daily, who congratulate him upon his escape.
