TAHOE CITY, Calif., May 25. - William E. Dubry of Pacific Beach Calif., was topnotch fisherman at Tahoe City last weekend.
He took daily limits in large mackanaw, and said he did his best fishing from a row boat about a mile off Tahoe City.
James WIlson of Palmn's resort caught a nine-pound mackanaw, and said he did his best fishing from a row boat about a mile off Tahoe City.
During the past week, fishing at the two hundred foot depth in the lake, Mr. and Mr.s Jack Malcolm caught nine large mackanaw in three hours fishing.
On Wednesday Jack Malcolm and Jack Bell of this city each caught a nine-pound macanaw while fishing from the same boat.
Fay Ellis of San Francisco and John Borzone of the Tavern caught limits in mackanaw Tuesday. The largest fish in each limit weighed ten pounds.
During the past week daily limits in brook trout and steelhead were reported caught from the pools of the Truckee river where the water is now
very high.
Some flies and dried grasshoppers are being used as bait in the river this week, but angle worms still hole first place as the sure-fire lure for
pool fishing.
Minnows and bright plugs are being used in deep water lake fishing.
