There was one more surprise coming. Terrie O'Neill contacted me just before Christmas to tell me that though she was
a descendant of Livingstons and Moores and had taken for granted Moore's writing of the poem, she had studied the
evidence for herself and decided that Henry was actually the author. But between us, we were able to add a little more
to the Livingston/Moore relationship. I knew that Henry's first cousin, Judith Livingston, lived near Henry and was married
to John Moore. I just had no idea who John Moore was. But Terrie knew.
John Moore, she explained, was the brother of Clement Moore's father's brother-in-law, that is, Clement Moore's aunt was
married to the brother of John Moore.
So we had a much closer relationship between the two families than we had previously known.
