Georges Pierre Marie Van den Bos (1835-1911)
[Georges P.M. Van Den Bos, G. Van den Bos]
Georges Pierre Marie Van den Bos, in spite of his name, which smacks strongly of the Netherlands,
is a Swiss by birth, and has his studio in Paris.
His "Prey of Cupid" serves as a good example of his style.
The "Improvisation" is another example of G. Van den Bos, and represents a young lady
upon the terrace of a chateau, improvising an air upon the violin while another lady
accompanies her on the harp.
