Bertha Verree (x-x)
In "A Dream of Roses," a young girl, reclining on a couch after her bath, covered with a
furred robe, indulges in one of those visions which an interesting novel has the power of
inspiring, and which we know as day-dreams. The artist is the wife of a well-known French
painter who has won distinction at the Salon.
