     Uniformly kind to everyone. And he adored his fans as much as they adored him. Interacted with them all and seemed to love life. Being around him, even peripherally as we were, was incredibly exciting. I can never say enough good things about the man. And the reason he makes such a point in the full video in our room about not having a cigarette was because I'm so fervid a non-smoker that I had asked him not to smoke in our room. So he didn't. But it must have really hurt.

     Husband and I were in an elevator when he and his wife got in. He introduced his wife to my husband and when they left the elevator and we were alone, husband admitted he was shaking all over. The man just had that sort of charisma.
