Paul's Mother's
Chicken Soup

1lgstewing chicken
14cupscold water
1bunchcarrots
..leek, or small onion
..vegetable greens for soup
..salt
..pepper
8-10.allspice peppercorns
1/4teaspoonall purpose seasoning

Place chicken in cold water and cook till foams. Then skim foam off top.

When clear and clean, add vegetables and seasoning.

Cook for at least 2 hours.

Strain soup, retaining only the liquid. Add cooked carrots, spaetzel, and dill.
