Mary's Lasagne
8 | oz box | no cooking lasagne noodles |
16 | oz carton | cottage cheese |
2 | . | eggs |
. | . | salt |
1/2 - 1 | lb | hamburger |
2-3 | 8oz packages | mozarella cheese, grated |
1-2 | 5 oz package | shaved fresh parmesan cheese |
1 | large jar | tomato sauce |
If not no cooking, lasagna, boil noodles with some oil, drain, and separate onto saran wrap.
Mix beaten eggs into cottage cheese. Salt.
Cook hamburger, wash and drain.
Grate mozzarella, trying to avoid knuckles. I prefer pre-grated. My knuckles agree.
Grease lasagna pan and layer:
noodles
cottage cheese/egg mix - spread with spoon over whole surface
tomato sauce - spread with spoon over whole surface
hamburger - sprinkled
grated mozzarella cheese - sprinkled
shaved parmesan cheese - sprinkled
Repeat layers till you run out of ingredients.
Bake at 350 degrees for 45 min to 1 hr. Browned top.
The only painful step in this is the cooking and laying out of the noodles without
having them tear down the middle.
This dish freezes perfectly, so I usually make a few.
