| 2 1/4 | cups | flour, sifted |
| 1 | teaspoon | baking soda |
| 1 | teaspoon | salt |
| 1 | cup | soft butter |
| 3/4 | cup | granulated sugar |
| 3/4 | cup | brown sugar, packed |
| 1 | teaspoon | vanilla |
| 1/2 | teaspoon | water |
| 2 | . | eggs, beaten |
| 12 | oz pkg | Nestle bits |
| 1 | cup | pecans, coarsely chopped |

Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Sift together flour, baking soda and salt. Set aside. Blend butter, sugar, brown sugar, vanilla and water. Beat in eggs. Add flour mixture; mix well. Stir in chocolate bits and nuts. Drop by well-rounded half teaspoonfuls on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 10-12 minutes. Makes 100 cookies. 2 dozen |
