Sift together flour, baking soda and salt. Set aside.

Blend butter, sugar, brown sugar, vanilla and water. Beat in eggs.

Add flour mixture; mix well. Stir in chocolate bits and nuts.

Drop by well-rounded half teaspoonfuls on greased cookie sheet.

Bake at 375 degrees for 10-12 minutes.

Makes 100 cookies.
