SOCIETY GIRL WHO CAN ROPE A STEER
Fort Wayne Journal-Gazette, 7 Jun 1905

Miss Lucille Mulhall, shown in the cut in the attire of a cowboy, although college bred and perfectly at home in good society, has the reputation of being the most expert rough rider of her sex in the world and able to rope a steer with as much grace and agility as any cowboy who ever lived. She is the daughter of Colonel Zack Mulhall of Oklahoma, who is the proprieter of an estate of 80,000 acres. She is only eighteen years of age, decidedly prepossessing in appearance, although very petite and weighing less than a hundred pounds, and is gentle and refined in her manner. She numbers among her friends many cultured persons who have partaken of the hospitality of her father's charming Oklahoma home. Miss Alice Roosevelt is one of them.
