Miss "Bossie" Mulhall, astride her indian pony, lassoed and killed a big gray wolf on her father's ranch with the same
ease and grace she captures the society swells of St. Louis and then "kills" them with a glance. The latest trophy of her
daring horsemanship and bravery - the big gray wolf - is now on its way to Gov. Theodore Roosevelt, of New York, with
the compliments of the little lady.
Miss Mulhall is the daughter of Col. Zach Mulhall, live stock agent of the 'Frisco railroad, and cattle king of Oklahoma. Born
and educated in St. Louis, she spends the winters here with her father at the Planters' hotel, and her summers in the big
Mulhall ranch in Oklahoma.
Miss "Bossie" is a winsome miss of 19, who combines the hearty good fellowship of the western girl with all the grace and
culture of the eastern-bred young lady. She is known and admired all over the great southwest for her fearless horsemanship and
skill with the rifle and lariat.
She is the original from whom was patterned the character of Bossie Brander in Hoyt's "A Texas steer."
