Corrals, which will be used to restrain the dozen or more wild Mexican steers to be used by Miss Lucille Mulhall, the Oklahoma cowgirl,
when she comes to the Kansas State Wide fair to display her work as a horsewoman, were built yesterday. The steers will be brought to
Topeka from north of here, near the Pottawatomie Indian reservation. Some ione up there has a bunch of Mexican steers which are said
to run like deers and to have all sorts of ability to escape the lasso.
Secretary R. T> Kreipe of the fair association, has arranged for ten of the most stubborn and persistent bucking bronchoes in this part of the country to be
brought here for the use of the Mulhalls during their appearance at the Kansas state fair. The cowboy outfits of the Mulhalls are to be sent to
Topeka within a few days for prominent display in the downtown store windows.
It should be remembered that the Mulhall attraction is a free one to those who attend the fair. The Mulhalls come here by engagement
with the fair association, and the performance which they give for four days during the fair in front of the grand stand, is free to those who are
within the grounds. Miss Mulhall is known not merely as a daring young woman with a horse, but she is educated and talented,
being a fine musician, and having ability in other artistics lines. The roping and broncho busting features promise much.
