Wichita, April 12.-
Miss Lucille Mulhall, the pretty daughter of Zack Mulhall, a prominent cattleman of Oklahoma, and
the girl who broke a world's record for roping and tying a steer in 23 1/2 seconds in Wichita six years ago, is in trouble in
St. Louis over affairs of Cupid. She has been served with a summons notifying her that she has been sued for the possession of a
$400 diamong ring presented to her by her former suitor, Price M. Taylor, former passenger agent of the Southern railway at St. Louis.
Miss Mulhall was "pursued" two days before summons could be served on her and when she was finally located she was
bound for hte dentist on the eve of removing a troublesome molar. When accosted, she merely tossed her head, laughed and said:
"I'll give it back to him when I get ready."
Lucille Mulhall is well known in Wichita, her skill as a horsewoman displayed at the Oklahoma Cattlemen's convention
held under the auspices of the Wichita union stock yards six years ago, bringing her into prominence. It was her
appearance on the field during the three days of the meet which was held under extremely unfavorable weather that
contributed in a large manner to the success of the only cconvention of the association ever held outside of Oklahoma.
Besides establishing a world's record for roping and bidning a wild steer by a woman she excelled the cowboys.
Taylor has left St. Louis to join Miller's wild west show, which opens its season in Chicago April 15. Miss Mulhall, it is said,
will also join the show.
