Oklahoma City, Ok., July 2.-
The "Free Homes" boomers were given a part in the "Rough Riders'" reunion today, the principal feature of the platform
exercises being a speecy by Dennis T. Flynn, territorial delegate to Congress, who told of the free homes legislation
which brought cheer to 60,000 firesides, he said. Mr. Flynn also made a plea for statehood.
At the Fair Grounds Lucille Mulhall, an expert rider, attraction much attention. A prize for quick roping and tying of cattle
was won by J. E. Merrill of Round Rock, Tex., who consumed 51 1/2 seconds. The evening's entertainment consisted of
fireworks and a spectacular exposition of the battle of San Juan Hill.
The military ball to-night was the most brilliant event Oklahoma City ever witnessed.
A thousand of the brave and fair participated in the festivities.
The Roosevelt Rough Riders' Reunion Association organized for the ensuing year as follows:
President - Captain McClintock, Be Troop, Arizona.
Captain - Fritz Muller, E Troop, New Mexico.
First Vice President - Lieutenant John Greenaway, G Troop, Arkansas.
Second Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer - Charles Hunter, D Troop, Enid Ok.
To-morrow the next place of meeting will be selected. Colorado Springs, Col., will probably be chosen.
