WESTERN COWBOYS AND COWGIRLS
IN MADISON SQUARE GARDEN
Miss Lucille Mulhall and Cowboys from Oklahoma
Wildly Applauded in Madison Square Garden

The Scranton Truth, 4 Apr 1905

New York, April 26.-
Colonel Zach Mulhall and the Western cowboys and cowgirls who are here to take part in the Horse Fair at Madison Square Garden, caused a stir in Central Park by riding up the East Drive and along the bridle paths in plainsmen's garb. In the party were Colonel Mulhall and his four daughters, Bossie, Lucille, Georgie and Mildred: the Millard brothers, who have thirty thousand cattle on their "101 ranch" at Bliss, O. T.; Colonel W. F. Toups, of the Texas Cattle Raisers' Association, and a score of other noted ranchmen, cow runners, horse wranglers, ropers and broncho busters.

Lucille Mulhall, the comely young woman who will essay to rope a Texas steer in record time at the Garden tonight, was the observed of all observers. She wore a light summer costume and rode astride, as did her three sisters. Mildred, the youngest, had an exciting experience near Seventy-second street, her horse running away with her. The ten-year-old girl from Oklahoma stuck to her saddle with great courage and finally suceeded in stopping her horse.
