Price Taylor a sucker for
giving Lucille Mulhall the ring

Kansas City Kansas Globe, 21 May 1908

Price Taylor, formerly a Frisco minor official, lost his suit for a $450 diamond ring against Lucille Mulhall, Zack's daughter. Any man sucker enough to give a stage-struck broncho buster "cowgirl" a $450 diamond ring in hope of winning her affections, ought to lose it.
