The following from the Kansas City Times is of local interest as the prospective groom is a son of Conductor Van Bergen, who formerly ran the Coffeyville--Cherryvale train here. Miss Lucille Mulhall is also known here. The Times days:

"Friends of Martin VanBergen say that he is to wed Miss Lucille Mulhall about January 1. VanBergen is 22 years old and is a son of W. E. VanBergen of 3826 Bell street. He is well known in musical circles in Kansas City. VanBergen made his first professional appearance at the Orpheum here in 1904. He appeared later in 'The Burgomaster' and in a minstrel show. He sang at Forest park in May, this year.

"Miss Mulhall is 22 years old and a daughter of Zach Mulhall of Oklahoma. Nearly everybody in the country has heard of her fame as a horsewoman. She has many medals that she won in steer roping and broncho busting contests. With her 'Ranch Boys' company she was the 'headliner' at the Orpheum in this city the week of January 20l, this year. VannBergen was a member of her company at that time. He is appearing at Proctor's Twenty-third Street theater in New York City this week."
