Word from the heads of the different departments of the Inter-State and Territorial Exposition indicate that the preparations to care for and amuse
the multitudes will be thorough and complete. Contracts with the Indians of the various tribes have been secured. New attractions are being booked daily.
The 101 ranch outfit will be here 200 strong with their famous troupe of trick mules and their herd of buffalo.
The Mulhall outfit, men, horses and baggage, of course will be on hand. Entries are pouring in from crack riders and ropers and race horse owners.
A dozen swell bands have already signified their intention of competing for the big prizes.
The seats have been erected at the fair grounds for 75,000 people and the track is lightning fast. A force of men is working every day preparing
the grounds. They are already in excellent shape. The big grove has been cleared of all underbrush and weeds and everywhere underfoot is a carpet of close-cut
grass. The three big wells on the grounds are rigged up and that most important water question solved to satisfaction.
We are very much pleased with this disposition on the part of the exposition people to make preparations to care properly for the crowds.
As for attractions, they already have booked more than they can crowd into a three days' program, and all first class, too.
Secretary McGee is booking lodgings in advance. His office in the Barndollar building is a busy place these days. He has a list of hundreds of private
rooms throughout the city.
It will be the big show of the southwest. It's on the level. All Coffeyville citizens should co-operate with themanagement in advertising the exposition.
